Trying to work the kinks out of my wrist a bit and try to make myself sketch directly on the Wacom a bit more. I still feel more comfortable scanning paper sketches. I’d like to get more of a feel for smooth inking in Photoshop because I feel like I’m starting to rely too much on Illustrator line smoothing. May have a chance to practice on a bigger tablet soon, which I hear helps people draw more naturally since they’re not trying to work in a little 4×6 box.
Had a nice, quiet Christmas over at Dad’s. I hate to leave him alone during the holidays. We didn’t really do much besides laze by the fireplace and catch up, drive around the countryside idly, but it did help me clear my head a little. It’s been a lame year. I won’t miss it.
