After writing a lengthy ‘bawwwww’ post about Guilty Gear, I start listening to the soundtrack again and realize how many of the songs are among my favorite video game music EVAR.
In particular, The Midnight Carnival always felt like an almost perfect tune for the battle it’s set to. Intense, with a vague ‘creepy funhouse’ vibe thanks to a sparingly used organ. I used to listen to it on headphones and the guitar riffs could totally vibrate a headache away if I felt one coming on. That is the power of ROCK.
