Boy, Lana sure does look ready to do something, doesn't she? And Kid Icarus switches bow hands again. You might be wondering why the brought the dog, but trust me, if they left it behind, they'd get trapped behind a special Mother Brain forcefield only dogs can pass through with their skin intact. A true hero always warns other of danger before stepping blindly into it anyway. Only this time, there was no danger, just some exposition. Thankfully, we were spared most of the explanations and skip right to the part where Captain N springs the stock sci-fi movie plot of the week: To travel deep inside Mother Brain's mind. Not that the mind has actually been proven as a place that physically exists or anything, but at least his solution wasn't to pause the world and run away. I really admire the way Cap jumps to a ludicrous conclusion in every panel except the last, because he's not in it. It shows initiative, good leadership skills, and good old dumb luck. A Metroid power generator consists of a killer space jellyfish on a wheel hooked up to a generator, by the way. |
