Armeggedicon A-go-go

I’ve safely arrived in Columbus for Anime Punch/Armageddicon/Probably Another Alternate Namecon, and after some finagling, gotten the room’s wi-fi to work. It’s been exciting preparing for the game room position they wanted me to host in, though, it seems that along the line I went from ‘Guest’ to ‘Game Master’ to, as my badge puts it, “Tabletop Room Gopher.” At least until I further finagle one of the badges I actually did art for, since it seems a little weird having my nome de plume on a plain staff pin.

But! I’m still here for a reason, and my game table will be Saturday at 6 P.M. in the McKinley room. If there are any readers, gamers in the Columbus area who’d like to try out a rather goofy take on the Silhouette sci fi roleplaying system, hurry in if you want a spot!

(Of course, I kind of get the feeling everyone who fits into the niche I just loudly invited is already in this hotel right now playing Fluxx or something down below.)

THE DESTRUCTIVE RIGHT ARM!

THE DESTRUCTIVE RIGHT ARM! published on No Comments on THE DESTRUCTIVE RIGHT ARM!

A friend of mine gave me a helpful reminder the other day.  Are you sitting down? Websites that update attract more readers. So, right here (as I take a break from drawing because my arm is cramping like a bitch), I announce that 3/2 will once again take on a weekly updating schedule! Now, that might not mean a game a week, but there’ll be something added to the site week by week, starting next week. Because I’m counting this post as something dammit.

Actually, it kind of is. Even though it’s old news now, I’ve bucked my usual trend and gotten a PS3 while the current generation is still mostly alive. I’ve also bucked another trend of mine to pretty much stick to cozy, familiar genres and try out a… popular game- Fallout 3. Man, I’ve been loving it. Straight up fantasy bores the snot out of me, as I say before talking about any role playing game ever, so wandering around the ruins of a bombed-out version of Washington, D.C. tickles me a lot more than the scads of games where you wander around countrysides and forests killing spiders for XP and gold. Dragon Age and White Knight Chronicles sound kind of enticing but since I’ve only really got time for one (non-portable) RPG, working my way through the Capitol Wasteland’s been a nice way to unwind after all my work’s done for the day.

When not at work on my game for Anime Punch or RK, I’ve also been congealing the final, final, final designs and such for Gatling Guard, which I do intend to begin when RK finishes. (Which is coming!) There’s also a couple tweaked versions of Revolver bouncing around in my steno pad, but not ready to show off. I’m thinking eventually there may be a continuity reboot keeping some of the high points, but adjusted for pacing and consistency issues. Which is a really long winded and roundabout way of saying  “please stay tuned to my art projects, please?”

Getting back on track for this site though, in no particular order, I’ll soon be tackling:

  • Fallout 3 (duh)
  • Henry Hatsworth (when the fuck did I first announce this?)
  • Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
  • Transformers Season 2: The WTF Season
  • Dissidia: Final Fantasy
