Every year, I remember March 2nd is a thing that exists at the last minute and forget to do anything special to celebrate 3/2 Day. Maybe next time!
It’s been kind of a hectic month, but I’ve been working on myself a bit, physically if nothing else. Got into fitness boxing when the Fist of the North Star Switch game went on sale super cheap going into a week off and it’s a really fun way to exercise and fantasize about violence at the same time. It grabs me in a way that the gym bikes with a virtual trail on the screen do. I am totally aware that it in an actual fight it would probably go over as well as that South Park episode where they brought a DDR kid to a dance off, but it’s *something to do* on days I’m too beat or weather sucks too much to go to the gym.
Also have begun Xenoblade X and Neptunia: Game Makers (R)Evolution or whatever it’s called, both are pretty fun if not obviously on opposite ends of the budget scale. I’m thinking that I’ll probably save Xeno for offline and Nep for online since playing an actual good game you’re sort of expected to take seriously on stream means I just kind of sit there quietly most of the time and it feels like I’m being lazy.
Anyways, little sketch dump and chatty time: I’ve been making an attempt to make ‘better’ figures, read more pin-uppy/fanservicey. It’s something I’ve avoided for a long time because I felt like my art style just does not lend itself to that sort of thing with the thick/scratchy lines and so on, but I’ve had some encouragement from friends lately to swing for it a bit more. To that end, I’ve kind of created a dedicated ‘horny’ character since I don’t usually look at my cast that way. She’ll also be a good excuse to join in on art memes etc since she doesn’t really have any lore baggage (yet, I usually can’t help myself)

She started off with blue eyes, then I decided “what if” and gave her kind of a vaporwave gradient eye pattern instead. I came up with the name when I was kind of worn down at work and thinking how nice it would be to go home to get warm and Cozy with some cheesy pizza or other junk food and just forget the day. So she’s kind of a layabout who loves old arcade games and glomming onto warm bodies to drag them under the covers for one purpose or another. Hee.
Here’s the rest of the sketch dump! Drawing on my iPad is great for comfort’s sake but complicates my posting pipeline a bit. I’m hoping that the quality isn’t complete ass since I downloaded everything from my Bluesky feed to get it on the PC, if it is, I’ll eventually reupload from the device.
