Belated Slayers Santa (Art Grind 004)
I usually try to be on time with Secret Santa participation but there was kind of a perfect storm of stuff that kept me. All the prompt requests were pretty good but I had to run with the one asking for a cyberpunk take on Valgaav from Slayers Try. He spends about half the season with big nasty dragon arms, so it sounded like it would be fun to turn him into a cyborg. Who am I kidding, I’d turn anyone into a cyborg!

I’m gonna make an attempt to at least draw more often again even if it doesn’t end up being officially daily. As a side condition I *also* want to avoid using the Clip Studio posing tool since I feel like I’ve been relying on it too much and while it’s helpful it also feels like it creates kind of ‘flat’ results so I’ll try to work on like… actually drawing better. If nothing else, I’d like to avoid getting ‘rusty’ since looking back at stuff from like 2015 and thinking it’s better than my current work really gets under my skin.
I spent a pretty substantial part of New Years Eve in a hardcore mope state lying in bed in the dark while listening to a really depressing manga summary on Youtube before snapping out of it and joining friends in a few rounds of Mario Kart until midnight hit, and I just really want to avoid wasting my free time like that so often.
