Man, I love this guy. My first online handle was based off Zelgadis, and I always kind of related to him. Shorter than his guy friends, tries and doesn’t always succeed at being cool…
In spite of Windows 10 and its grudge against my internet adapter, I did this one (mostly) on stream including scrapping my original sketch entirely and starting over from scratch. I can’t seem to settle on how I wanna do feet in this style though. I like the ‘side’ view type but can’t translate it to a front view how I want just yet.
I was talking with xlgirl in the stream about how I always kind of had an urge to try and make Sylphiel more interesting since she’s kind of a meh character, and lately I’ve been thinking she’d make a great yandere character. I mean, she is a healer who learned the most destructive black magic spell there is just because she thought it would make her more useful to her crush…
For kicks I just kind of sat down and started playing connect-the-dots with the current and future cast of my dumb gaming comic, and even though the actual character web is kind of awkwardly done (never really tried this before but always thought it was cool) I thought it might still be handy.
Wait a minute, she’s not from Slayers. HAX.
Taking it a little easy tonight, messing with regular-size versions of the characters for my game for the sake of seeing which style I like better and to better prepare for chibifying them.
The “Blue Fighter†is inspired by the Ryu(s) of Breath of Fire since, well, I like Breath of Fire. He’s human though (probably), just has a dragon motif to his gear and blue hair.
The character colors represent a character’s Tendency, which is less of a hard mechanic thing than a handy way for a player to get the ‘gist’ of a character’s strengths at a glance.
