Remember when you’d be clearing a camp in Far Cry 3? You’d meticulously sneak around the entire place tagging enemies and searching for the best way to stealth kill everyone and get the maximum reward, only for a tiger to saunter past you and take out everyone in the garrison without a second thought. Fun as it was to watch, it was rather infuriating the third time it happened. This time around, the titular “Blood Dragons†can be lured into garrisons with a decent throw of a heart that you farmed from a corpse and the ability to sneak into the camp and disengage the protective shield. These genetically enhanced neon dinosaurs will tear through anything in there way and allow you to waltz into the garrison and take control without a shot fired or disco ball smashed.

So good.
In panel 9 sequentially the red talking bubble is exactly intersecting the box, creating undue attention to that area, I feel. I noticed it because of panel 7 sequentially in which a very tiny portion of the red text bubble is cut off, creating even MORE tension because of the contrast in the elements, namely the unusual-for-your-style sharpness of the red border as it is being sliced by white space contrasted against the normally smooth and beautifully rounded line work you use. This contrast interaction led me to notice that several of them are cut off, and it didn’t sit well with me. It should be noted that this was after my second look over of the comic after first reading it, so I was pretty much LOOKING for criticisms at that phase. In order my favorite parts are: The Saved by the Bell/You Can’t Do That on Television/Clarissa Explains it all feeling I get from that 80’s logo in panel 3; the tracking effect in panel 2 is awesome, Michael Jackson eyes even though they should be popping out so childhood me is permanently scarred; Giant lightningbolt earring.
THERE MORE FEEDBACK THAN YOU EVER WANTED :D
I’ve been doing my final layouts in Illustrator which sort of blows at showing where my crop area is, though really it’s more of a workflow problem I oughta work in. I actually already went back once and shoved some cut off text into the border then noticed just now one of Eishi’s bubbles is kind of cutting it close too, so I may go back and tweak that too after work. Glad you like the strip overall though!
I love your art and I love the premise of this amazing production. You are my hero for making these, seriously.
If I ever make a comment that hurts your feelings just know that I try to be honest despite being an idiot, so those things combined sometimes backfire, but the overall goal of being honest is because I love it when I get honest opinions, and lately I’ve been getting few negative ones, and being a skeptic, I disbelieve it’s because I’m any better of an artist. I think it’s just that people don’t want to hurt my feelings. So I try to always hurt feelings. JK! But hopefully you understand any part of that and forgive me :)
