this is a very crappy version of something I wanted to draw earlier today.
alas, I needed to spend more time studying and taking care of somehow dirtying all of my utensils at once tonight. maybe another time I’ll do a better mami warfare drawing. with hookers and booze references instead of fake sci fi rifles.
Believing in Justice, Take II
Though really this feels like comparing apples to oranges since I wound up doing basically a completely different style. I don’t hate it, though. It’s kind of messy, but that’s mostly from doing it in MyPaint and just kind of running with it for a couple hours.
Productive stream tonight! I mostly worked on a harpy design I’d like to use in my game, more like a bird-taur sort of approach than the arms-as-wings design most rpg’s use. Eventually I sidetracked off into fanart land though.
I’ll probably do some more streaming tomorrow afternoon if anyone wants in on some more awful.
Kind of an off day… off week, really, but the rain wasn’t helping much. Here’s some of the more presentable stuff I came up with, also there’s a new Q&A post at the Tumblr.
I’ve had this idea kicking around ever since I watched Madoka and started pulling up the soundtrack to discover Mami’s theme is titled “Believing in Justice.” There’s some issues with the torso and arm perspective, but overall I kinda like how this one turned out. The pose is more interesting than yesterday’s, anyway. I’ll try to experiment more as I go along.
