File yet another sketch page under ‘technically fan art but not good enough to tag’
I’m trying to find good ways to draw a head and neck from below without adding too many lines and distrupting the overall smoothness a person’s neck ought to have. Drawing a little shape where the chin ought to go seems to help. I still suck at drawing from reference somehow, but I have at least osmosed that chins are a ‘part’ and not just the face tapering to a point, and trying to work that in here and there.
As an aside, trying to work that into my usual artwork is finally helping me understand what the hell was going on with that uber angular cheek style that Araizumi and Kotobuki use/used, and I retroactively applaud them for applying structure to faces in a way I totally didn’t get before.
